A Riley Mom’s Thank You

riley-letterA few weeks ago, I posted a guest blog on the Riley Children’s Foundation Blog about how Freije-RSC supports the mission of the hospital by putting the Riley Hospital license plates on our fleet.

After that blog was posted, I received a letter from Angela Reed who’s daughter is a Riley Kid. Her letter was quite touching.

“Good morning sir, my name is Angela Reed and I wanted to say Thank you! for putting Riley plates on 80 of your vehicles.

You see, my daughter, Autumn, is a Riley kid and just went into remission from Stage 4 Osteosarcoma in February. We almost lose her just a few days before her 14th birthday, but by the Grace of God, he chose to let her have more time here on earth. We are attending the Riley Cancer Center Prom this year and it’s my mission to make each child I meet smile at least once because I know I will be crying tears of laughter and joy.

I really just wanted to tell you what your gift meant to me. It’s a chance for a family to be together by the wonderful work that Riley does. Thank you so much for your kindness.”

It’s stories like these that make our investment worth it.

Riley Hospital plates can be displayed on passenger cards, trucks up to 11,000 pounds, motorcycles and recreational vehicles. To order a plate you can visit myBMV.com or visit a Indiana BMV customer service location.

Riley Children’s Hospital showcases Freije-RSC’s committment to community

freijeThis spring Riley Children’s Hospital in Indianapolis is encouraging more Hoosiers to switch their license plates to Riley plates. Several years ago, we changed the license plates on all of Freije-RSC’s non-commercial vehicles to Riley Hospital license plates.

I was asked to write a column for the Riley Children’s Foundation Blog about how my wife and I support the mission of Riley. Switching our fleet’s license plates was a simple decision — it just felt right. Riley is a vitally important to our community.
